Rick, Jase, and Jared ran the 5K.  Apparently Jase's Cross Country training is paying off because he beat Jared this year.  Jase and Jared both beat their dad by eight minutes.  Jase got his PR 22:10 and Jared was about thirty seconds behind him.

Opening Ceremonies

This afternoon the royalty attended the Clay Bridge Monument Dedication, the Dutch Oven dinner and the opening ceremonies of Swiss Days where they were officially introduced.  They then helped announce the Swiss Miss/Mister presentations.

Mayor's Walk

Rick, Jaiden, and I went on the Mayor's Walk sponsored by IHC.  The princess royalty was introduced and involved as well.  We all got these really nice walking sticks and walked the mile from Town Hall to the Jacob Hamblin home and back.  That street contains many historical sites and the mayor, Rick Rosenberg, shared the history of the sites as well as the history of the area. There were a few people carrying speakers so that everyone could hear what he was saying. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the fresh air, exercise, and interaction with our community!
