Halloween!!

Tuesday 31: It was a good day. I interpreted this morning and then went to Jenna's Halloween parade at the elementary school at 3:00 and then went and picked up the kids from their play (Elf) rehearsal. Jenna had a Halloween party this morning. Josh didn't wear a costume to school. After school he put together a make-shift nerd costume. He looked too cute to be a nerd! Then he took off to Seth's house before I got a chance to take a picture of him!

Jaiden went to Lizzie's house to go trick-or-treating and so I was able to get a bunch of pictures of her before she left. She, Lizzie, and Emily were fifties girls wearing matching dresses and looked so cute! They planned out their costume months ago.

Janelle dressed up for school as a "Dairy Queen." She went to a party at Brea's house and didn't dress up and so I don't have any extra pictures of her (just a couple from this morning). Jenna was a dancer and Janika sent me pictures of her as the tooth fairy. Jared worked and so he didn't have a costume.

I went with Allison and Jeff to bring our younger girls trick-or-treating. The weather was beautiful and it felt so good outside! The kids got a ton of candy!!

Janika's Halloween

Janika and Brandon had a Halloween party at his apartment Saturday night and then attended the Jensen's traditional Halloween scary dinner party in Odgen at Grandma Jensen's house. They had a good time. I love their couple's costume!

Carving Pumpkins

The kids carved pumpkins tonight. They all did their own design and carving all by themselves. Even Jenna did hers without any help! I was busy getting a little package together for Jase and didn't take any pictures of the pumpkins and so I was glad that Jaiden took some! Janelle's is Sherlock, Jaiden's is Tinkerball, Josh's is the flash lightening bolt, and Jenna's is an owl.

Halloween Party

Jaiden had a great time at her Halloween Party at Lizzie's house! They made candied apples, watched "Hunger Games," played games, painted each other's faces and ate lots of treats!

Red Ribbon Week 80's Day!!

It was 80's day for Red Ribbon this week!!

 I always have the girls look through my real life 80's pictures for ideas. Their get-up never looks anything like my junior high school or high school pictures. Here are a couple of family pictures when I was 14 and 15.  I looked a lot better at 15 than I did at 14!!

Creative Jenna

Jenna loves to spend all of her free time with friends too and begs to take off with friends the minute she gets home from school. She is also very creative and likes to do little craft projects. She made a little house for her toys out of a shoe box and I was amazed at the detail she put into it. She used random things that she found around the house. She cut a scrap of material for the carpet, made a paper ceiling fan, made tiny little chairs and couches and a toilet out of packing peanuts and a little sink out of a medicine cup. There was also a garbage can out of a medicine cup and a towel rack with miniature towels. She had decorated the walls with little jewels and made mirrors for the walls. She even had a complete jungle gym and little picket fence and a slide made of the packing peanuts. I took a picture of the room, but it was a few days after she had made it and so some of the pieces were missing including the outside fence and slide and so forth. But you get the idea! I also have a little video of her explaining each piece. So cute!

 

   

Sweet Baby!

My girls and I went to visit baby Calvin today! Calvin Potter was born at home on October 9, 2017. He is adorable -- just like his siblings!!

Happy Birthday Janelle!!

Janelle turned 15 today! She is excited that she finally gets a cell phone! She has also started studying for her learner's driving permit. Yikes! I can't believe that she could be driving in a year! Yesterday Janelle and I went out to lunch at Chick-Fil-A for her birthday and then we spent a few hours shopping for clothes! We got several outfits for her birthday.

This morning I brought the girls to the hair school to get hair-cuts and then we went to The Children's Museum for a couple of hours. Tonight Janelle had some friends over for games and cake and ice-cream. Last year for her party she and her friends played Kahoot with "how well do you know Janelle" questions.  It was a lot of fun and so she decided to do it again this year with different questions. They also played "Body, Body, Body," "Star-tipper," "No Bears Are Out Tonight," and then watched the movie, "Once I Was a Beehive."

Fall Break Haircuts!!

The girls have been bugging me to take them to get a haircut for a while now. So today I brought them to Hairitage. Jenna didn't want hers cut and so she only got a little trim. Janelle got four inches cut off (it looks like more than that to me) and Jaiden got nine inches cut off!! They look darling!
