Seminary Graduation!

Tonight was Seminary graduation for Jaiden! Jaiden and Emily were asked to do the musical number and they sang Rick's arrangement of "Israel Israel, God is Calling." If I am able to get a video of them singing it some time I will add it to this post. 'They did a nice job and the speakers did a good job also. I am so grateful for Seminary!!

Janelle Seminary Graduation!!

Janelle had her seminary graduation tonight. She was one of the speakers and she (and the other speakers) all did a great job! Janelle's good friend, Brea Bulkley (pictured) was the Seminary Council president this year. (She also lead the SCHS girls' track team to a first place victory in State yesterday!)  Janelle was on the Seminary Council this past year and really enjoyed it! Jared Seminary Graduation

Janika's Seminary Graduation

Tonight was Janika's Seminary Graduation at our Stake Center.  Since she is the Seminary President for Tuacahn High School, she was responsible with helping to plan the graduation.  She opted to sing rather than speak at it and so she and Kiara Christensen sang a duet, "He Is The One," and it was beautiful!  We are proud of Janika for the service she has given in Seminary this year!

Seminary Graduates

Rick is really going to miss his Deaf Seminary class.  It was so neat to see these four deaf students participate in Seminary graduation tonight and to have FIVE seminary graduates from our little Deaf Branch was awesome!  Since Rick is also their Branch President, he got to announce and give them their certificates. I might not have come tonight had I not been asked to play the piano for it.  But I am so glad that I did!  One student from each ward in our Stake either gave a talk or did a musical number. They shared their testimonies of the gospel and related how much Seminary had changed their lives.  One of our Deaf youth, Hilaree Sargent, gave a talk in sign language and I was so touched by her spirit and her testimony.  Hilaree has only been a member of the church for a year and then you may recall that Natalie was baptized just last month.  Indio and Marion are not members of the church but they also graduated with a certificate from Seminary.  

 Rick Jensen, Indio Shepherd, Hilaree Sargent, Natalie Gutierrez, Marion Wall, Kelly Bunting (who has been their school teacher for many of their school years including both kindergarten and high school!)
