Swiss Days 5K
All of our men ran the Swiss Days 5K this morning and finished before it started pouring! Jase did well, missing his personal best by only 8 seconds. He got 20.33. Jared got 20.27. His personal best was at his last meet with a time of 19.57. Jared was hoping to place in his age group and he did. He got third place and the award was a cow bell! Rick ran with Josh and then Josh sprinted at the end and beat his dad. This was Josh's first 5K and he did great! Josh got 33.53 and 6th in his age group of boys ages 8-9. Rick got 34.01. I am proud of all of my men!

Seminary Faculty Party!
The kids had a blast swimming at this Seminary Faculty Party and Jase and Jared were both so cute to watch over Jenna in the pool. We adults enjoyed good food and company. We should do these more often!

Rain
There was lots and lots of rain today and more flooding in our area. Luckily our house was fine. Of course it was nothing like the flood of 9-11-2012, but enough to cause lots of people to get very nervous! Here are some pictures by the dike:
Jenna's Kindergarten Paper-Doll
In Kindergarten the kids get to decorate a paper doll to look like them. Jaiden found some material and ribbon and helped Jenna decorate this cute little doll!

Madee's Wedding
We got to bed late after Janelle's play last night and then I couldn't sleep because I was too wound up and had songs from "The Sound of Music" running through my head. Then I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. I headed out the door around 7:00 a.m. I wanted to get an early start since I had a long drive ahead of me and wanted to have plenty of time in case I ran into any problems. I drove to Ephraim making really good time. I was worried that I would be tired after not sleeping well, but I got some books on CD and quickly became engrossed in "Divergent."
I picked up Janika from her apartment and then we headed on to Salt Lake. I was glad that we made it in plenty of time for me to take a much needed nap before we headed to Ogden for my niece's wedding. Madee Yearsley married Justin Pingree in a beautiful yard close to their home. We went to the wedding and then stayed for the whole reception. Julie is great at planning and decorating and everything was gorgeous. Luckily the weather was perfect too. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and then Janika and I went out to eat at Costa Vida in Ogden before heading back to my mom and dad's.

We slept over and went to Sacrament Meeting with them and then headed back to Ephraim in time for Janika to go to her 1:00 ward there. I was able to take a half hour nap in her quiet apartment, with all of the girls gone to church, before driving home. I arrived back home around 5:00.
