Jenna: Voice Recital

Jenna is taking voice lessons from our talented friend and ward member, Rebecca Gulbranson. It was so fun listening to all of Rebecca's students sing at their voice recital in her back yard tonight! There was a bit of rain at the beginning, but it was short lived and it ended up being very pleasant out. Jenna sang "In My Dreams," from Anastasia and did a fantastic job! I love listening to her sing! 

Constitution Day

On September 17th Rick and I went to hear Jaiden and Janelle sing the National Anthem at our local "Constitution Day" at the Santa Clara City Hall. There was a short thirty minute ceremony and then everyone rang a bell. The ceremonies were held at various city halls throughout the area with everyone scheduled to "ring the bell" at the same time. The girls did a great job, but the ceremony was outside right next to the street and so it was very noisy and distracting with all of the passing traffic. The Mayor said that they wanted to make this an annual tradition, but next year they would block off the street for the thirty minute ceremony.

The girls sang in our ward today and did a beautiful job! I wish I had gotten a better video than this, I was standing next to the music and so it is hard to hear some of the girls, but better than nothing! 

National Anthem Video (Jaiden and Janelle)

 Jaiden and Janelle Jensen are members of the National Honor Society at their high school. They had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the NHS Induction Ceremony tonight. They did great!! You can listen to it HERE!!
