Grandma and Grandpa

Monday (19th):   I worked this morning interpreting while Jenna was at playgroup and then tried to hurry and get the house in order for my parents' visit.  Jenna had a fun day today -- playgroup for three hours in the morning -- then her Thanksgiving party for Mrs. Kathy's -- and then a birthday party!  She came home with all sorts of fun treats from both pre-school and the party.  Grandma and Grandpa Westra arrived around dinner time.  They brought Janelle and Jenna their birthday presents and of course they were thrilled!  We are happy to have them here!

Tuesday (20th):  Jenna had a Thanksgiving party for her other pre-school.  She came home with all sorts of fun goodies!  I was glad that I didn't have to interpret at the college today due to Career Day.  I still had to go in and teach though and then Rick and I had an evening class together and we so didn't get home until 9:30.  Wednesday (21st) was Rick's birthday (which I already posted about).

Thursday (22nd) was Thanksgiving.  We had the usual -- turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, pretzel jello, candied yams, rolls, and lots of yummy pies for the family to choose from.  Everything was delicious!  After a nice nap Grandpa and I took the kids over to the Elementary School to play on the play ground and play tennis and wall ball.  That evening we had a Thanksgiving lesson.  We watched some "Mormon Messages" on gratitude and then went around the room and let everyone share about what they were grateful for!

Friday (23rd):  This evening we had a girl's night out with Janika and my mom.  We went to go see "Breaking Dawn 2."  We enjoyed it.  Saturday morning my parents' headed back home.  The break was SO nice -- I hated to see it end!  I loved being able to sleep in and spend time with my sweetie!  I was grateful to be able to spend time with my kids and parents.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This is what happens when half a dozen kids with full tummies jump on a partially broken tramp!  Happy Thanksgiving!
