Jase Wisdom Teeth

Jase only had two wisdom teeth and got them out after his mission (and after Janika's wedding). We had them checked before his mission, but his dentist, Dr. Utley, said that they weren't ready to come out yet and said he could get them out after his mission (unlike Janika and Janelle who needed them out when they were just 15 years old). It must have been fairly uneventful because I neglected to do a blog post about it (until now) and the only documentation I could find was an appointment on my google calendar that said "Jase wisdom teeth out" on June 27, 2018. He had them out at Dr. Utley's office. He said "They didn't really put me under that much so I wasn't even drugged when I came out. I honestly probably could have driven home." We told him to go take a nap in the studio and he just sat there lying awake for an hour and a half and then came back upstairs. We told him that was a short nap and he said that he didn't even sleep. He didn't swell up (as I remember) and recovered really quickly. I can't find any photos -- I will have to check Rick's google photos for that day and see if he has any!

Bountiful Reception

We had the Bountiful reception in Julie Kofoed's backyard (next door to the Jensons). Julie and Brandon's dad, Reed, and many others put in hundreds of hours the past several few months getting the yard into shape and it looked absolutely gorgeous!! We are so grateful for all of their help! Brandon's mom also put in many hours of preparation and Janika and Brandon headed up all of the  planning and organizing with the help of with my sister-in-law, Julie Yearsley, who pretty much served as Janika's wedding planner! Julie Yearsley also made the darling ice-cream parlor backdrop and many of the other decorations. She also did Janika's hair for her bridal pictures, sealing, and reception! I am so grateful to our friends and family for supporting us!!  A big thank you goes to one of Janika's best friends -- Kiara Boden for taking the awesome photos tonight!! https://www.kiarabodonphotography.com/

If you can't read this from the picture it says:
"We have a very special tradition in our family. Every year at Christmas my Grandma Jensen gives each of us grandkids an item for our hope chest. She has spent countless hours making quilts, pillow cases, afghans, doilies, baby blankets, embroidered hand towels, and more. Every Christmas we look forward to opening these special gifts. These items have been tucked away in anticipation of marriage when we could use the gifts as we started a new family. This display includes many of the items my Grandma has lovingly made and saved for me through the years.
Thank you, Grandma Jensen, I love you! Janika
