Jenna's Birthday Party

The girls made butterflies out of coffee filters, played games, ate cake and ice-cream, and opened presents!  There were a couple of boys at the party too but they were too busy running around during all of the pictures.  Josh and his friends sort of crashed the party.  I think we might just have a "no boys" rule next year!

 

Jaiden -- 80's Day!!

It was "80's Day" at Jaiden's school today!!

Swiss Days 5K

Josh and Jared were the only ones from our family to run the Swiss Days 5K this year.  Jared did about the same as last year, which was a little surprising since he isn't running cross country this year and last year he was.  He still runs most mornings though.  Josh beat his last year's time.  It was fun watching everyone running and feeling the community spirit!

SCMS Girls' Choir at Swiss Days

Janelle had a choir concert at Swiss Days after school and then I helped the scouts with the “cow milking” booth at the pioneer activities. I got a lot of steps in walking back and forth to the church and other Swiss Days' activities!  

Tonight the kids all went to Swiss Days and Rick and I enjoyed a quiet house! Jared had a lot of fun hanging out with Jayden and Bridger and AJ (his friend from up North who he went to EFY with) who was also in town.

Tonight Jaiden, Janelle, Grandma Jensen and I went to go see Tarzan at Tuacahn!!

Primary Program and Party

We had our Primary Program on Sunday and it was a success!  Yay!  We were glad to get it finished!  Today we had the ice-cream party at Kalli Potter's house, which was lots of fun!  I am so grateful for a fantastic presidency, chorister, and pianist! And I am grateful for the sweet children that I get to work with each week!

 

Emily and Jaiden are not in primary any more, but they graciously offered to "help" with the ice-cream party!! 

 

Josh's Webelos Hike and Caramel Apples

Josh had a good time on his Webelos hike today!  The weather was beautiful for it!  While Josh was gone on his hike, Rick and I went to the EIPA workshop at the Deaf Center.  It was a great workshop. Grandma Jensen brought Janelle, Jaiden, and Jenna shopping at Deseret Book to buy Jenna's new scriptures (she buys each of her grand-kids a really nice set of scriptures when they turn eight years old).  She also let the girls pick out some other surprises at the store and then then all went out to eat at Arctic Circle.  She called Jared so that he could meet them for lunch too.  The kids loved spending time with their grandma and played lots of games with her while she was here. Later on they made yummy caramel apples!

We celebrated Labor Day with one last trip to the lake with the Williams before the weather starts to cool...

Jared Homecoming

Jared went to Homecoming with Alexa Anderson.  They had a big group and had a lot of fun!  They did Olympics (which included swimming) for their "day date" and then went to eat dinner at Ninja's that night before the dance.
