Jared and Hallie's Wedding Reception!!

The day is finally here!!! 

We left in the afternoon and headed straight to the golf course at Spanish Fork! Hallie's dad is a pro golfer and works with the golf course and so they were able to get the venue for free, which was awesome. It was beautiful and had amazing views! Hallie's family did a great job with the decorations and everything looked lovely! 

We arrived an hour and a half early so that we could change into our wedding clothes and get the missionary cardboard cut-outs of Jaiden and Josh put together. We had asked all of the kids to arrive an hour early because they were doing photos before the reception. But then the photographer got stuck in traffic and was late to arrive. So I took a bunch of pictures while we were waiting. I got some nice ones that I will include here.

By this time Bryton and Janelle had been engaged for a month and were busy preparing their own wedding!!  

The grandkids looked so cute in their little outfits! We tried to get a picture of all four boys, with lots of coaxing to try and get them to look at the camera and smile, but no such luck! Still cute though! (You can see Brandon behind the bench holding Callan up, ha ha!)  

 After the photographer arrived,  she started taking family pictures and then pictures of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. She got a lot of really nice pictures. 

Later on I used a photo editing program (PicMonkey) to photoshop a different picture of Jaiden and Josh's cardboard cutouts into the above picture to use for our Christmas Newsletter, because it was the only one that featured the whole family and there was so much glare on this one. Also I felt like Jaiden's was placed too far away from the rest of the family. At first I was going to take out the horizontal lines in their cut-outs, but then decided just to leave them in, since it is a cut-out afterall.

I had gotten my dress for super cheap on Shein and really liked it! I think it was less than $14.00! I ended up wearing it all the time for church and other events and even bought two more just like it but in different colors. I had also bought Janelle and Jenna's dress from Shein and they were the exact same material as mine, but different styles. Theirs were really inexpensive also and so we really lucked out! Janelle ended up buying one identical to hers in white (or ivory) for her to change into for the dance party at her own wedding! 

Ellen's sister did the charcuterie board and it looked great! Tasted great too! 

They did a formal line in front of the fireplace and there was a steady stream of people. It was nice to meet people and have them rave about Hallie (or Jared) depending on who came through the line. The only drawback to the line was that we couldn't get any food until later, ha ha. 

They even had a little children's section where the kids could eat and color pictures. Genius!!  

They did the cake cutting (and smashed the cake into each other's faces)...

And then they did the shoe game outside. The weather was absolutely perfect was the outside festivities and dance party! 

Since I hadn't gotten a chance to eat earlier I had grabbed some food on the way out and had a mouthful when they announced the mother/son dance. Jenna was quickly grabbing my place and food from me and motioning for me to go out. Jared and I hadn't planned anything for this and after doing some boring dance steps but a bit, Jared started to liven things up by goofily twirling me around. It was pretty funny. 

Then they did the father, daughter dance and that was really sweet and touching! 

Then the bride and groom dance! 

After a few group pictures, Jared and Hallie changed clothes and the wild and crazy dance party began!!

Since the sparklers were still going strong, Rick had us run through also!

And then Hallie's mom and dad ran through!! 

Since the reception was the night before the wedding, they weren't really married and so it was a "fake send off," ha ha!! After riding off in the golf course and hiding in the tunnel for a big they came back and helped us clean up. Everyone kept asking what we wanted to take for the luncheon the next day. We ended up packing our whole car, and also Jase and Ellen's whole van, with centerpieces, flowers, decorations and so forth! Then we headed with both cars to Shane and Alicia's to prepare for the next day! 

The wedding reception was lovely, the weather was perfect, and the dance party was awesome and everyone seemed to have a great time!! We were grateful that everything went smoothly!
