Busy weekend -- moving Jaiden into her apartment at SUU and Everett's baby blessing! We left around 10:00 on Saturday and headed to Cedar City with two cars (my car and Jase's car that was left at our house while they were in Maryland all summer) loaded with Jaiden's college stuff as well as our weekend bags. We moved her things in and then went out to lunch with Jaiden and Emily and took them grocery shopping before continuing on our way. (I will do a separate post about her move-in).
We all arrived in Pleasant Grove that night and had a nice family dinner prepared by Janika and Brandon. Jase and Ellen were there and so the babies were finally able to officially meet! Jared and Josh drove separately. Rick drove Jase's car to return to him and Jenna and Jaiden were with me. We ate yummy Hawaiian Haystacks at Janika and Brandon's and visited for a while and then I dropped Jenna and Jaiden off to Shane and Alicia's house so that they could attend their cousin, Rella's, 16th birthday party and then spend the night. Rick and I spent the night at Janika and Brandon's along with Jared and Josh.
Sunday morning was busy with getting ready and finishing up meal preparations. We all met at Janika and Brandon's ward where Brandon gave Everett a beautiful blessing. Afterwards we had a nice meal at the clubhouse of Heather (Brandon's sister) and Adam's townhouse complex. Janika and Brandon had fixed five delicious breakfast casseroles for a nice brunch, along with pancakes and fruit. Those in attendance were Brandon's parents and all of Brandon's siblings, Heather and Adam and their three kids, Carolyn, Andrew and Jess and their girls. We also had Grandma and Grandpa Westra and Grandma Jensen and Gerilyn. My brother, Chris, came with his wife, Kim. Shane and Alicia came with Adria, Rella, and Calder. It was fun to visit with everyone and the food was delicious! We took some pictures afterwards (although some of the guests had left by then and most of Brandon's family was still inside, and so we didn't catch everyone!)
