More Play Pictures

Here are some pictures from Janika's "Cinderella" number. The song is titled, "Impossible."  She has a very quick costume change in the middle of the number and we found out the night before her play (last week) that her "Cinderella" dress wasn't going to work.  The day of her opening night (last Wednesday) she had to stay after school and catch up in her Algebra class.  We only had about an hour before she had to be back at the school for call time.  So we hurried out to DI and picked the first thing we could find.  We added the little shawl and it worked out quite nicely. Unfortunately on that first night, they hadn't practiced putting it on and her "wardrobe helpers" couldn't get it over her head.  They had to try it three times and Jani came on late with her arm completely out of the sleeve and missed part of her solo. So we took it home and Thursday in between my appointment and sign language class I purchased some velcro and unpicked it all the way down the back and added the velcro.  This way she could just slip her arms in and they could slap it up the back.  It worked like a charm for the next three performances.  Here are some pictures from Saturday Night's Show...

Here is Janika with her little (but very loud) Saturday night fan-club.  They were sitting right behind our family screaming at the top of their lungs....  "JANIKA, JANIKA, WAAAHHHH!"
