Church History Tour -- Day One

Today they went to the sacred grove and Joseph Smith sites.  They had the opportunity to go to the Palmyra Temple to do baptisms for the dead.  They also went to the Martin Harris Farm, the Palmyra cemetery and the Peter Whitmer Farm.  Monday night before they left, Rick did a special Fireside to kick off the trip and gave everyone journals with a picture of the Sacred Grove on the front.  I know he is giving the kids opportunities to write in their journals and so hopefully I will get them to make some posts about some of their experiences on this trip!   

Waiting for the pageant to start.  Janika said, "We didn't even plan the tongue thing -- we must be related!"
